With special offers for local residents, the City of Greeley Water Conservation Program, in partnership with Resource Central, begins its seventh annual spring Garden In A Box Xeriscape garden sale on March 4.

These boxes help those who decided this is the year to finally get the yard in shape, but need a little help to get the gorgeous, colorful garden without paying the professional price tag and doubling the water bill.  With just a click, Greeley residents can order a xeric (low-water) garden kit in March and then pick up their order and start planting in May .

These pre-designed kits are tailored to Colorado soil and climate. The simple plant-by-number maps take the guesswork out of buying and planting. Plus, the garden kits can help save water compared to a traditional grass lawn — not to mention the savings on a water bill.

Starting at $110, there is a Garden In A Box to fit any budget or yard.
