The City of Greeley invites you to celebrate Día de los Muertos, a vibrant holiday dedicated to remembering loved ones who have passed. The Rodarte Community Center, Tointon Gallery, and Greeley Creative District offer a variety of community celebrations.
Rodarte Community Center, 920 A Street
November 4 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Honor and remember loved ones who have passed with singing, dancing, traditional food, and crafts. Activities include live music from Hector Y Su Destino, Brentwood LULAC and Dos Rios Dance Club performances, prizes for the best-dressed Catrina and Catrin, sugar skull decorating, and altar displays. The first 200 guests will receive a traditional meal from El Mero Mero Restaurant. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit GreeleyRec.com.
The Tointon Gallery, 651 10th Avenue

Opening Reception: November 2 from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
The Tointon Gallery will feature community installations reflecting the spirit of Día de los Muertos, with an opening reception with the artists on November 2, from 7:30-9 p.m. following the Greeley Creative District program at the LINC Library. The artists in this show have each been influenced by the traditions, colors, festivities, ceremonies, metaphors, and symbols involved in this unique holiday. Free and open to the public during normal Greeley Recreation Center business hours, the exhibit runs October 27- November 10 and is also open during Union Colony Civic Center performances for ticket-holding patrons.

Enjoy live performances by the Colorado Dance Collective Azanet Rodriguez and Gii Astorga, tasty bites, a craft presented by the Community Grief Center and the opportunity to contribute to a community ofrenda. Bring photos and objects you would like to donate to the community display—NO valuables, food, or items you would like returned.
Following the performance, attendees will walk by candlelight to the Tointon Gallery to see the accompanying art exhibition and hear from the artists. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit GreeleyCreativeDistrict.org.
