When the Greeley City Council returns to in-person meetings with its July 6 regular meeting at City Council Chambers, in City Center South, 1001 11th Ave., the city will offer the community new ways to participate.

The council’s new hybrid meeting model means anyone can attend the meeting in person or use one of several virtual options to watch or participate. The Greeley City Council is committed to increasing accessibility and transparency. Moving forward, all council meetings will take place via this hybrid model.

This new model allows for physical attendance at the meeting and virtual participation through the City’s Zoom webinar platform. The City of Greeley will broadcast these hybrid meetings on Greeley government access channel, Comcast Channel 8, GTV8; and live-stream them separately on the Greeley website and YouTube channel.

Regular city council meetings take place at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month in City Council Chambers at City Center South, located at 1001 11th Ave. The council takes public comment at the beginning of each regular meeting, on any topic not already on the agenda, and during scheduled public hearings. Anyone wishing to offer public comment can use three options:

  1. Submit written remarks prior to the meeting to be put into the record to the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, 1000 10th St, Greeley, CO, 80631, or via email to cityclerk@greeleygov.com;
  2. Attend a meeting at Council Chambers and speak in person; or
  3. Participate in the Zoom webinar and offer live, virtual comments.

Residents can find detailed instructions on how to view and participate in meetings, including Zoom webinar links for virtual attendance, on the first page of each Greeley City Council meeting agenda packet. The city’s new meeting portal is the community’s one-stop place for all city meeting agendas, minutes, and archived videos. Access the meeting portal on the city council website, https://greeleygov.com/government/council, by clicking the “Enter City Meeting Portal” button.

Council work sessions will take place via the same hybrid model at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in City Council Chambers. The council does not take public input at work sessions, but the Zoom webinar will remain an option for viewing the meeting, in addition to live streaming on the Greeley website and YouTube channel.

For more information and questions about the return to in-person meetings, call the Greeley City Clerk’s office at 970-350-9740.
