Greeley Water Connects with the Agricultural Community on March 20

The second annual Greeley Water Rental Round-Up will be held on Friday, Mar. 20 from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Eaton Country Club, 37661 County Road 39 in Eaton.  The event strengthens ties between the agricultural community of Weld and Larimer counties and the City of Greeley Water & Sewer Department.

Area farmers and ranchers who want to find out more about the annual water supply outlook, opportunities to partner with Greeley in its annual water rental program, and the best water-sharing strategies are encouraged to attend this free event. Lunch is provided for existing and prospective agricultural partners.

Weld County ranks in the top ten agricultural producing counties in the nation and accounts for billions of dollars into our local economy. The City of Greeley wants to foster the continuation of agriculture in the area by creating relationships and partnerships with local farmers and ranchers. Urban water providers and the agriculture community can work together to ensure that all water needs are met.
