Greeley, Xcel Energy Partner to Help Businesses Advance Renewable Energy Opportunities

Join the City of Greeley and Xcel Energy Partners in Energy on Aug. 12 for a networking and showcase event focused on energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunities for Greeley businesses.

Our small businesses are an essential part of what makes Greeley a great place to live, work and play, and the city is invested in helping our businesses thrive. As part of that effort, the city of Greeley is collaborating with Xcel Energy Partners in Energy to provide a networking and showcase event that will focus on providing business owners important information about energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunities.

The event will take place from 5-7 p.m., Aug. 12, at WeldWerks Brewing Co., 508 8th Ave., and will include:

  • Energy case studies of Greeley businesses and community facilities.
  • Information about free and low-cost utility programs and rebates.
  • Tips on how businesses can save energy and money.
  • Opportunities to network with utility representatives and local leaders.
  • Prizes and light refreshments.

Drop in any time during the two-hour event. Please register at https://bit.ly/greeley-business-expo since space is limited.

This event is part of an ongoing engagement between the city of Greeley and Xcel Energy Partners in Energy. Through this partnership, a stakeholder team of residents, businesses and city staff developed the Greeley Energy Action Plan to guide Greeley’s energy future. This plan identified three main priorities for the community: 1) Create an affordable and reliable energy future; 2) Increase residential, commercial and industrial energy efficiency and alternative energy opportunities; and 3) Improve economic health and stimulate growth. This plan was adopted by the Greeley City Council in 2019 as part of the Greeley Comprehensive Plan.
