Glenn DePriest, is the Boxing Coach at the Rodarte Community Center and is a firm believer of having fun while students learn the fundamentals of the sport and basic techniques to help them prepare for the ring. “Area youth and adults that participate in the Hard Knocks Boxing Program have the option of competing or not, it is entirely up to them, there’s no pressure to do so. Those individuals that have fought this year, really worked hard and we are so proud of how well they have performed,” said DePriest.
The Rodarte Community Center’s boxing program offers both a recreational and competitive track for youth and adults wanting to learn or compete in the sport. Participants learn the basic techniques of boxing, work out at the center and practice sparring. For more information about the program, please visit GreeleyRec.com or call 970-350-9430.
