Josiah Herrera wins Boxing Match at Put ‘em Up Competition at the Rodarte Community Center

On Saturday, October 27 there was a full house at the Rodarte Community Center for the Put ‘em Up boxing smoker. Over 300 people purchased tickets to the event to see the Hard Knocks Boxing Club compete in their annual event. Roughly 30 matches took place with three of the Rodarte Boxers participating and won winning their bout.

  • Josiah Herrer (Hard Knocks at Rodarte) won by decision @ 136 lbs
  • Angel Arredondo (Hard Knocks at Rodarte) lost by decision @ Heavy Weight
  • Kaleb Dutrow (Hard Knocks at Rodarte) lost – bout was stopped by Ref @ 102 lbs

Coach-DePriestGlenn and Jeanne DePriest of Greeley have been coaching area youth at the Hard Knocks Boxing Club at the Rodarte Community Center over the last year. Glenn has a 30 year history of coaching through USA Boxing, and his wife Jeanne is the current President of USA Boxing for Colorado. Their hard work and dedication has seen great success for the sport in recent years.
