Kick-off St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations with The High Kings at Greeley’s Union Colony Civic Center

The High Kings

Irish folk royalty, The High Kings, bring their unique sound and popular Celtic ballads to Greeley’s Union Colony Civic Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 4 at 651 10th Ave.

The four vocalists–Finbarr Clancy, Darren Holden, Brian Dunphy, and Paul O’ Brien–use their well-blended vocals and thirteen different instruments to create an exciting sonic experience, with a fresh take on traditional Irish ballads.

At the Forefront of Irish Folk
Since forming in 2007, The High Kings continue to set a high bar for Irish folk bands around the world. They found immediate success with their self-titled, debut album, reaching No. 2 on the world Billboard music chart and selling out five consecutive shows at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre. The group’s second studio album “Memory Lane” went platinum only four months after its initial release, after which the band began touring globally, gaining fans worldwide and spanning generations.

Over the past 15 years, The High Kings released four studio albums, two live albums, and two DVDs of their live performances. They received a personal invitation from President Obama to perform at the 2012 White House St. Patrick’s Day celebration, visited the Pentagon as guests of General Martin Dempsey, and performed alongside the U.S. Marine Corps band.
