The City of Greeley is pleased to announce that Benjamin Snow has accepted the position of Director of Economic Health and Housing.
Mr. Snow was most recently the President of the Rapid City Economic Development Partnership in Rapid City, South Dakota. During his service there, the Rapid City MSA experienced GDP Growth of 30% (from $5 to $6.5B), and had significant growth in several key metrics, including population, household income, assessed real estate valuation, taxable sales and annual construction permit valuation. Snow has nearly 24 years of economic and real estate development experience and has served in Arizona, Colorado and South Dakota.
“I am really looking forward to returning to Colorado and am particularly excited to be joining the City of Greeley. The Greeley MSA enjoys one of the most dynamic economies in Northern Colorado and the entire state and as the economic anchor for Weld County, I am impressed with everything Greeley has done to lead the way in recent years through visionary leadership and planning,” said Snow. “I look forward to the challenge and opportunity to contribute to the community’s continued progress in the years ahead. This is going to be fun and I can’t wait to get started.”
Snow will join Greeley’s executive team to align the organization’s economic development tools and resources to develop and increase the City’s economic health. Greeley hopes to capitalize on recent successes, such as being ranked as 2018's Fastest-Growing City in America in the jobs and economy category by WalletHub, and create a stronger economic future for the City and the region.
“We look forward to Ben joining our team,” said City Manager Roy Otto. “He has a proven track record of success and his position is a key to city government excelling alongside different industries and business sectors.”
