Slam Dunk of a Show

The Union Colony Civic Center, 701 10th Ave., reaches new heights as the 7’2” former NBA All-Star, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is set to speak at the Monfort Concert Hall on Saturday, September 15, at 7:30 p.m.

Abdul-Jabbar is the NBA’s all-time scoring leader, as well as a New York Times bestselling author. His newest book, “Becoming Kareem,” tells the story of a young Lew Alcindor growing up in Harlem and the path he took to become a basketball legend and Civil Rights activist. In his show, “Finding Your Inner All Star,” Abdul-Jabbar will talk about his life in riveting and humorous detail. From street ball player to athlete, author, producer, community activist and cancer survivor, Abdul-Jabbar’s life story will provide an inspirational approach to life and provide key leadership skills.
