Sunrise Splash Park Closed: July 25
On July 25, Greeley Fire Department and the Greeley Hazardous Materials Response Team responded to a call at Sunrise Splash Park, 325 12th Street. On arrival, teams found 30 to 40 children complaining of eye irritation.
After the park opened, it was discovered that chlorine levels had risen above normal.
There were no injuries reported and no one needed to be transported to a medical facility.
The Sunrise Splash Park is closed for the rest of the day. Plans are to reopen Friday, July 26.
