Town Hall with Councilmember Butler on January 25

Ward I City Councilmember Tommy Butler is holding a listening session with residents on Saturday, Jan. 25. Join the councilmember at 10 a.m. at Taqueria Los Comales, 808 14th Ave. 

This event features a presentation from Noe Rincon, Partnership Specialist for the 2020 Census.

Census 2020 LogoThe Census is a headcount of everyone residing in the United States on April 1, 2020. and occurs every ten years. The Census counts people of all ages, races, and ethnic groups. Population totals from the Census determine the number of seats each state has in the House of Representatives and are also used to redraw federal and state legislative districts. The Census population counts are also used to determine the allocation of federal dollars to states, cities and counties, and to help citizens and policymakers understand demographic, economic, and geographic trends needed to inform critical business decisions.
