We Are Messengers Brings Christian Rock to the Union Colony Civic Center

We-Are-Messengers

Irish-American band We Are Messengers brings their powerful message and inspirational music to Greeley’s Union Colony Civic Center (UCCC) stage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4 at 651 10th Ave. Fronted by Irishman Darren Mulligan, the group’s live show combines grit, tenderness, and a message of hope.

Rowdy Music for Broken, Messy People
The band, consisting of Mulligan (lead vocals), Kyle Williams (guitar), Drew Kerxton (drums), and Raul Aguilar (bass), identifies as a “rag-tag” team with a blue-collar work ethic, creating music and lyrics that speak to the hurting, the outsider, and the underdog.

Emerging in 2016 with their self-titled debut album, the band achieved early success at No. 10 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart. Their momentum continued with sophomore album “Power,” which introduced the award-winning, self-acceptance anthem, “Maybe It’s Okay.”

Now on their third full-length album release, “Wholehearted,” We Are Messengers stays true to their brand of raw vulnerability, captured through the lyrics of their track “Now It’s Our Turn:” “Mercy’s not a pretty word. It gets down in the dirt. For better or for worse.”
