10th Street Improvements

Greeley 10th Street Access Plan Phase 2 | Project Update October 2016

Current Efforts: Design Progression & Property/Business Owner Coordination

  • The City sent letters to property and business owners along the project corridor to invite them to meet and discuss the project status and potential impacts.
  • Many owners attended these meetings and many others were met during a project walk.
  • Owners that have not met with the City or have additional questions are encouraged to contact Eric Bracke at 970-350-9357 or eric.bracke@greeleygov.com.

Background

This summer, the City of Greeley is launching the final design phase of improvements to the US 34 Business (10th Street) corridor between 23rd Avenue and 35th Avenue. The 10th Street corridor is one of the most heavily traveled corridors in Greeley and the City’s design project will reduce vehicle delay and accidents, increase transit efficiency, reduce vehicle emissions and improve active transportation through pedestrian and bicycle environment enhancements for users of this corridor. Design and engineering is funded through Congestion Management Air Quality (CMAQ) funds and will continue through 2016, followed by acquisition of right of way and construction in 2018.
