City Of Greeley

College Park Sewer Project – 47th Avenue and 16th Street

The City of Greeley has contracted with Connell Resources to install a sewerline near 47th Avenue and 16th Street. The new sewerline is replacing the current one that is too small during peak flows. The new sewerline was size to serve any future development in the area. The entire project will take approximately 60 days to complete.

The first phase of construction has closed one lane of traffic on 16th Street near 47th Avenue and is working across 47th Avenue. During construction, there will always be one lane open. This intersection should be back to normal by April 5.

Work will continue onto College Drive (the entrance to Aims Community College) with a means to access into Aims always available. The bulk of the work will occur through Aims open space property south from 16th Street to 20th Street.

This project is just one example of the Water and Sewer Department’s commitment to invest in Greeley’s complex water and wastewater systems. To keep our infrastructure as efficient and effective as possible, Greeley maintains and repairs the existing system and upgrades system capacity in a timely manner.
