Garden-In-A-Box Program Ends June 5

The City of Greeley Water Conservation Program is sponsoring a Garden-In-A-Box sale. Orders must be made by June 5, for pre-planned and affordable Xeriscape gardens. Greeley residents receive $25 off the list price of the xeric gardens.

The City of Greeley is sponsoring the Garden-In-A-Box program offered by the Center for ReSource Conservation, a non-profit organization. It is an effort to help people install a beautiful and water efficient landscape at a low cost.

Order one of seven available water-wise Garden-In-A-Box kits and receive a “plant-by-number” design, 25-51 xeric perennial plants and planting and care instructions, all below retail cost. Gardens fit into 50-100 sq. ft. and feature full sun, shade, a parkway strip and delicious edible perennial designs. The gardens are designed by local landscape experts, and all plants are chosen for Colorado’s dry conditions. The designs are filled with great flower color and eye-pleasing textures. They require less than half the water of bluegrass lawns while providing a colorful, lush look.
