The City of Greeley Water Conservation Program and the High-Plains Library District are working together to present The Landscaping in the 21st Century Series this summer. Monthly programs are held on Wednesday evenings between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Farr Regional Library at 1939 61st Avenue. Ruth Quade, Greeley’s Water Conservation Coordinator, will present at each of these events. All of the workshops are free and open to the public.
The next workshop, taking place on June 26, is about Xeriscaping. This presentation will give you an overview of Xeriscape principles: planning and design, soil amendment, reduced turf, efficient irrigation, appropriate plant selection, use of mulches, and appropriate maintenance. This session will also help you find ways to adapt Xeriscape into an existing landscape or start from scratch.
