Greeley's Creative District

Creative District Logo

This area represents the city’s highest concentration of micro-businesses, performance venues, cultural outlets, galleries, museums, entertainment, and mixed residential development. 

Historic architecture blends with contemporary additions, while wall murals surprise visitors throughout the area, which is rich with public art. 

Greeley's creative district is just one of 15 certified by the state of Colorado.

Greeley Home Ownership Incentive Program

G-Hope-identity_lrThe City of Greeley has established a pilot Home Ownership Program for Employees (G-HOPE) to promote more home ownership in Greeley’s Redevelopment District and around the University of Northern Colorado campus. 

Through the program, down payment assistance is available to regular full-time employees of the major employers in this area:

  • University of Northern Colorado
  • School District Six
  • Banner Health/North Colorado Medical Center
  • North Range Behavioral Health
  • Sunrise Community Health
  • Frontier Academy
  • High Plains Library District
  • Salida del Sol Academy

G Town Tours

G.Town Tour LogoThe City of Greeley offers FREE tours to acquaint residents and visitors with interesting aspects of our community. City staff act as tour guides to deepen participants’ knowledge about and appreciation for Greeley’s many assets through tours that range from 2 to 3 hours in length. All tours include some walking, capacity for most tours is 22 guests unless otherwise specified.

2019 Tour Schedule

  • 5/9 | City Hall Crawl: Go "backstage" as you're guided through city facilities | Time: 3-6pm (bus & walking tour)
  • 6/21 | Taste of 16 Street: Take in the bites and sites as you explore updates to Greeley's University District | Time: 3-6 pm (walking tour)
  • 8/19 | UNC Historic Architecture: Take an inside look at UNC's Gunter Hall and Visitors Center with the architect who redesigned both buildings | Time: 6:30-8 pm (walking tour) 
  • 9/12 | Haunts & Undergrounds (1): Dive deep into Greeley's historic haunts and underground spaces | Time: 4-7 pm (walking tour) - Accepting wait list registrations only.
  • 9/26 | Haunts & Undergrounds (2): Dive deep into Greeley's historic haunts and underground spaces | Time: 4-7 pm (walking tour) - Accepting wait list registrations only.
  • 10/24 | Conoce Greeley (Bilingual Tour): Explora varias instalaciones de tu ciudad "tras bastidores" | Hora: 9am-Mediodía (bus & walking tour)

Please read before calling to register for a tour: 
When registering for a tour, guests will be asked to provide their Full Name, E-mail Address, Contact Phone Number, the name of one (1) additional guest, and their first and second choice tours. Please note that due to the overwhelming popularity of the G.Town Tours, each registrant will only be able to register for one tour; any additional tour requests will be wait-listed and offered upon availability.

Neighborhood Building Blocks

Neighborhood Building BlocksNB2 is a team of City representatives assembled to provide a coordinated response to complex issues through the following interdepartmental program.

NB2's core function is to respond to complex issues requiring the attention of more than one City department or division. Neighbors report problems through the City Clerk's Office and team members are called to action, responding within 48 hours to issues like property maintenance, alleged crime, traffic and neighbor disputes.

University DistrictThis District, in the heart of the community, is about a sense of place where quiet neighborhoods and quaint local shops merge with the energy of a major university.
