Local elections can be exciting! No really, I mean that. This is an opportunity to see our system of local government in action and participate in that system; in other words, have a voice in your community. This year, our City Council placed five items on the November ballot. Here’s a quick rundown of the ballot measures which include sales tax and City Charter questions.
As part of the community’s G. Town Promise Program and the Mayor’s Workforce Initiative, fifty-five local students from four Greeley-Evans high schools successfully completed the summer Career Pathways internship program. With the cooperation of sixteen businesses, and local government including the City of Greeley, students experienced potential professions first-hand while preparing for college and careers.
Over the next few months our Culture, Parks, and Recreation Department staff will be collecting input for a new Parks, Trails and Open Space (PTOL) Master Plan.

To some of you, 2014 might seem like a distant memory. That’s not surprising. We’ve all been so busy the first few months of this year that time has really flown by! That doesn’t diminish what City staff did last year to improve Greeley’s image.
