This is an opportunity to see our system of local government in action and participate in that system; in other words, have a voice in your community. This year, our City Council placed five items on the November ballot. Here’s a quick rundown of the ballot measures which include sales tax and City Charter questions.

To some of you, 2014 might seem like a distant memory. That’s not surprising. We’ve all been so busy the first few months of this year that time has really flown by! That doesn’t diminish what City staff did last year to improve Greeley’s image.
My series of articles recapping some of Greeley City government’s accomplishments and progress in 2014 continues. This month, I’ll focus on the City Council’s Economic Health and Development priority.
I started this series last month and I’ll continue over the next few months to focus my message on some of our 2014 accomplishments in each of the City Council’s top priority areas. Their 2014 priorities were Safety, Image, Economic Health & Development, and Infrastructure & Growth. And in fact they’re planning to keep those same priorities for 2015.
I know, I know, it’s the New Year and everyone is ready to start something fresh as we begin 2015. There’s no denying that this will be an exciting year, but before we get to that, I want to reflect on and celebrate what was accomplished in 2014.
