Agricultural Water Rental Program

The City of Greeley rents excess water supplies to local agricultural users.

Joining the Program

To rent supplies during the irrigation season, start by completing our online form. The city will confirm water rentals after the annual April W&S Board meeting (typically mid-April). The W&S Board states whether it is an "Adequate Water Year" at each April board meeting. Excess water means that the city has supplies to rent. Suppose the W&S Board declares an Adequate Water Year. In that case, the Water Resources Analyst will begin contacting requesters in order of priority per the program's terms.
