Greeley’s Wastewater System
Wastewater is water used in a home, business, or industrial process that drains into the sewer system. Water travels through the sewer pipes to the treatment plant, undergoing several sanitation stages and returning to the environment. Treatment is necessary to protect the health and safety of people and water ecosystems.
Greeley's wastewater system serves approximately 61 square miles -- and continues to grow. Three divisions manage the city's wastewater: Wastewater Collection, Wastewater Treatment, and Industrial Pretreatment.
